How Schools Kill Creativity: An Inspirational Talk by Sir Ken Robinson

We recently came across this inspiring talk by Sir Ken Robinson, an author, speaker, and international advisor on education in the arts. As you know, we’re dedicated to music education, so we share his belief in nurturing creativity in schools.

This talk is bound to get you thinking, and Robinson is a humorous, quick-witted speaker. His passion for developing a rich concept of creativity and intelligence really comes across here. In order to prepare kids for the future, he believes we must encourage their natural creativity and adjust our idea of intelligence. Right now, children are steered away from activities such as music, dance and art, which, we agree, has to change.

The sale of our Pick Cords is currently in support of Education Through Music, a New York based charity. It aims to empower children by giving them access to musical activities, something we are passionate about. Click through to view the collection. Learn more about ETM by visiting their website.
